When visiting a village, Jai Lao tries to understand and ascertain the needs of the village children. We recently had the opportunity to visit a small Alak village in Southeastern Laos' Sekong province and it soon became clear to Jai Lao that the Alak children of this small village are in need of some of the basic necessities of life. Shoes to protect their little feet during treks to fetch firewood, clothes to keep them warm during the winter months, good nutrition and vitamins to help them grow, hairbrushes, combs and toothbrushes for their hygiene, a school that can weather against the scorching hot or pouring rain, and above all else, they need our love and hope for them.
After seeing the conditions and needs of these children, Jai Lao was determined to do something to help them. Please join our efforts to provide humanitarian relief to the Alak children in Sekong province. The villagers are excited and full of gratitude that Jai Lao has committed to building a two room school to replace their current dirt-floored school.
